I spent the weekend in Toronto at the international folk alliance conference. It happens every February. This year it was in Toronto. It is a really intense long weekend. Lots of musical performers and storyteller types. About the only thing we have in common is some sort of connection to “acoustic” music or storytelling (i.e. electric instruments are not central to the art or act). I got to experience some really great music, connect with friends from all over the world and meet some new friends. While this is all good, it can also be a grind. Thousands of artists chasing hundreds of gigs.

One of the highlights of weekend for me was working on a new song for RWRS with my good friend Graham Duncan. We hung out in the Soona Songs booth (the very wonderous record lable that allows me to keep making music). While ostensibly shmoozing, we proceeded put this little ditty together. The prompt is worthy.
